Gil on Yuri is pretty complicated, but most of it has been very negative. When you take a Gilbert, who is very neurotic and low self esteem already, and make MOST of his amnesia development about keeping family a priority on a level he was incapable of before (reexamining his past behavior and mistakes, his own fault or not, and trying to correct his drive with the right priorities preemptively - trying to keep Vincent close, and honest, to him, and trying not to let a wide gap spread between himself and Elliot) - a sudden Perfect Brother They Both Trust More thrown into the works makes things a lot more difficult. Over the course of Aather, he and Vincent are still much, muuch closer than they ever were in canon, but the openness between them is closing fast and Gil is aware enough at this time to notice. He feels powerless about it, since he's already tried getting pissed and fighting, begging, amping up intimacy - the works! But despite his position, and BECAUSE of it, he is in the absolute worst position for what he wants and it gets to him sometimes. Especially when he is stewing over things he has no idea about (yuri and vincent's relationship, yuri and elliot's relationship...) because it gives him free reign to imagine how it must be EXACTLY WHAT THEY NEED and NOT AT ALL LIKE WHAT HE CAN DO and FINE '-' I JUST '-' WILL SUCK '-' IN THE GIL CORNER '-' now that you have a brother that doesn't suck
He's been able to genuinely give his blessing without a fit and even accepts him as a Nightray, which is HILARIOUS that I just typed that because Gil used to not give two fucks about "Nightray" but elliot basically beat it into him here to the point where it is actually very important, because it's another place he "belongs"and it's basically just Elliot and Vincent. Yuri felt hardcore like an encroacher. But Gil still gave his blessing honestly i guess because Vincent successfully timed a "I love him" in there. And Elliot adores him!
So Yuri is good for Gil in that he actually was able to scrounge a pretty reasonable reaction from Mr. Gilbert NO YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE ME WHAT IF YOU LIKE ME LESS STOP HANGING OUT WITH OTHER PEOPLE!!! Nightray.
But at the same time Yuri's existence has basically made him roll up and start expediting exactly what he's so afraid of, which is he's getting more distant from Elliot and Vincent. His insecurity is perpetuating his fears :x
Actually Talking With Him is very new and he found himself interested in him, and at first he was SO AWKWARD he rolled into irritated, but just talking helped at least sort things out to a decent neutral. Being the ONLY NIGHTRAY who knows about his relationship with Oz is also odd and unique footing for Yuri. IDK, keep prodding him, Yuri actually wanting to include him in this New Wave Nightray thing is different.
GUY on the other hand actually has a pretty simple strong positive feelings on Yuri. He likes him quite a lot now. He is actually one of the people he flirts with the most, even though practically all of it is teasing him 8D; After he decided to just top him all the time things have basically gone swimmingly on his end. Now that Yuri is becoming more comfortable too it is more of an actual "Hm I want to really hang out with him more" thing. He did make a good first impression or two before That Incident after all, and he's Judy's friend and he wants to know more about him. Oh and he WAS genuinely annoyed at being overcompared with Flynn :x He's over it though, and maaybe feels a little bad for being so harsh on him. Maybe.
